    Default The End Is Here!

Between yesterday, today and tomorrow, the weather forecasts are indicating between 12" - 18" of snow for our area. The pictures here show 11" - which I just got through snowblowing and shoveling! Now it's "MILLER TIME"! LOL!

Looks like Walt & I got the boat up on blocks just in the nick of time too!

Walt just emailed me the Excel Sheet on our 2019 season. I'll post the results a bit later. Right now I'm pooped!

I was watching the weather channel yesterday and thought about you being up there with that winter storm coming. Seems early to me but the midwest has had snow for over a month now. Stay safe.

The long winter begins. I lived in Doulas MA for four years. You might not see the ground again until end of April. One of the main reasons I moved back to Kansas. By end of December you might be able to try some ice fishing. I've had some good luck through the ice. I used to plan a fishing trip to Florida over winter school break. I'd send wife and son to the beach and go Speckled Trout fishing.

Bad enough the temps in the 20's but this takes the cake:

But then again there has been snowy Thanksgiving days in the past to my recollection.

Yuck, The worst part of that is the salt they spread on the roads to melt it. Insta-rust! At least that's what they spread where I'm originally from, Chicago. Here in Florida they don't spread salt, I like it this way better!

More of a concern than salt was the heavy snow that was under light snow. The chute on my snowblower clogged and broke a shear pin within a few feet of the door. Forget using the machine ! Time to break out the shovel before this crap freezes solid. Good thing we have two sources to plow the driveway.

Pretty but a big pain in the a!!

We warm weather flat landers would have a learning curve in that environment. Of course, there was a lady snowbird who decided to summer here. When it got 98F with 90% humidity she declared everyone south of the Mason Dixon crazy.
    'at boy just ain't right.
