I've used a bunch of Stren Crappie but have swapped over to original Stren in gold color. The crappie mono is fine line, but I'm cheap and there's only 200 yards on a spool.

Any of them work well for me but make sure it’s a fresh roll! I’ve tried multiple brands that weren’t fresh and had poor results. Got a fresh roll of vicious because grizzly jig were out of the other brand and the vicious has preformed very well !

4# Mr. Crappie hi vis, Stren crappie mono or stren clear blu.
I've used 6# Mr. Crappie and it was strong when I put it on but it started breaking fairly quickly.
I found, I would get that with braid when I was snapping the rod hard to try get some distance with light lures. Now that I drop down to 1/2 # diameter Berkley Fireline crystal I don't have those issues any more.

PS if you get a wind knot, take some lip balm and rub it into the knot , it will usually pull a part pretty easy.

I have some I'm going to try hopefully this weekend. I thought it was 6 lb that came on one of my combos but I think it is 8 lb now instead. I bought the omniflex 6 lb as a replacement.

I don't think they spool it on reels to the best of my knowledge , but to be sure its as strong or stronger than most other 6 lb tests and performs about as well as any I have used and trust me I used a lot of different kinds over the years .

No I didn't mean that. I bought it as a replacement to the line that came pre-spooled on one of my rod & reel combos. I thought it was pre-spooled with 6 lb so I bought the omniflex as replacement so I would have fresh line on it. I'm now thinking it was pre-spooled with 8 lb.
