Good buy on the Helix 10 but good luck getting one. Been there & done that last Christmas season.

I'm going to try and get one, may not happen but for $700 savings I'll give it a try. Also waiting for the club members sale to see what they have, hopefully can avoid the rush at the door. I think they should have to say how many they have for a limited sale. Also on the back page is a coupon for I believe double points that has to be presented at checkout.

Geez. Prob have 6 units scattered for all their locations. Out of all the stores I hit, BP is the one I consistently enter and leave with nothing.

I've never been to one of those sale's. Sound's like to much to me! They could do the same sale's anytime at the same prices and avoid the traffic.

Now a view from the other side of the counter. The last nine years before I finally retired were spent in retail - Lowe's HIW. By mid October I had already started hating the coming of the worse day in retail - Black Friday. Like Doug (M R Dux) said, the quantity of the items used in the Big Draw fliers was spread across the company's stores. We often got NONE of the Big Draw items and had to face angry customers who had stood in line, sometimes for hours, only to be told when they entered that the item was not available. The fact the the fliers all stated "Not all items stocked at all locations." did not appease them and they took out their frustrations on the store personnel who had nothing to do with the stocking of the merchandise. I remember one Easter morning I was told by a customer that I was stupid because I didn't have enough hanging baskets to sell. I asked her if she really thought that a cashier had anything to do with the amount of stock the store had. She got ugly, and reported me to the store manager.

So remember when you make an effort to take advantage of a Big Draw item and don't get one, please write to corporate and not beat up on the store clerk.

Hope you are successful. So many of these sales are bait and switch, or as had been said extremely small quantities. I don’t think I ever found but a handful of electronics that were ever in stock when we were shopping for the kids.

You have to be willing to camp out overnight on the parking lot in order to get one those deals. I may have done it in my early 20's but not now.

Good luck with it. Limited numbers anymore mean you better be in line hours before it's available.

I have personal experience with such sales and in my experience, the item listed was one of a couple and people (myself included) were lined up at the door an hour before the advertised opening. Just before the opening time, a clerk came out to ask which sales items we were there for. I was first in line for my item and was given a voucher for it. When the doors opened, there was a mad rush into the store and many were willing to run over those of us who were in line first. When I got to the counter, there was shouting, cussing, pushing, threatening (unbelievably none from me), and general mayhem. Many DEMANDED the item I was there for and were told the number available were sold. One guy caused such a scene they called the LEO on him.

I calmly paid for my item (a 10X10 storage building) and was told where to pick it up. I was offered a profit before I got out the door. This event soured me to any such sales.
