FLOATING JIGS

These are the components for Lindy rigging. You can tie your own snells using a float jig,they make different sizes. Instead of the jigs being made of lead,they are made of Styrofoam,painted in different colors. Or you can buy a Lindy rig already made up with a float already on the rig. You run a slip sinker behind the Snell,behind a Lindy swivel or a good ball bearing swivel. You can use a Lindy walking sinker of a river slip sinker. The long sinker pictured is a Lindy no snag sinker. Walking sinkers come in different sizes also. You can get them in different colors also.

I use them in he during the spring when fishing the whitebass creek run. I hook a minnow thru the lips and it keeps him 6 inches from the bottom. I purchased mines off EBay.

I tried them a few years ago but I had better luck using a drop shot in deep water.

I have often seen rigs that suspend baits in similar fashion and used a double hook crappie rig looking set up for weakfish off the new jersey coast back when that had tiny orange floats above the hooks , I would imagine those would be great in front of a split shot about 12 to 18 inches

I don't believe they are. An internet search could prove me wrong though. Bill died many years ago, that I know. He was never as famous as Al & Ron Lindner. I have his 4 "Blue Books" on fishing success. Along with the original, "Big Book on Fishing" by Bill & Al and Ron Lindner. They were my fishing bibles back then. Great re-reading some of the old pioneers of a truly amazing bygone era.
