    Hint....some of their first baits did not have eyes.....later on they had glass eyes

    Well .... PawPaw "gene" and silverside got it.
    It was the Bite-Em Revolving Bait made by the Bite Em Bait Company.
    This company began in Warsaw, Indiana and later moved to Fort Wayne, Indiana. It eventually became the Wenger Manufacturing Company. These baits had beatiful paint jobs but because they used the wrong primer its hard to find examples today with much paint left on them. These baits were unusual in that the bait revolved on a axis with the hook armature hanging below. Another thing was the lure boxes...some had "Bate" on them and some had "Bait".
