    Default Dirt dobbers

I break down my last section on my poles for transport, carry them home on the boat, then park the boat in the garage with poles still on the boat waiting for the next trip. But it never seems to fail, a dirt dobber will find one or two rods ends that he wants to pack full of mud. Aggravating it is when you go to put them back together and got to pick out dirt. Any of y'all have this problem and have you come up with any clever way to keep this from happening again?

Something like this in the correct size would work good to keep from building in the rods. Vinyl end caps is one of the names I found them under

I had the same problem. I don't break my poles down anymore. I made some overhead hangers for long poles. I also spray white lithium grease under my boat seats. This helps. Dobbers love boats and so do wasps.

They sure like the water pump discharge hole on the motor but a q tip will fix that.
