    Default 4 lb line recommendation

Using 4 lb line in the brush with a loop knot. Looping 3x with spit.
Some of the line seems to break way too easily.

Whats your favorite 4 lb line.

    Thanks

Paul of PR Fishing on YouTube highly recommends Sunline Sniper 5 lb fluorocarbon. I recently bought some and look forward to trying it out.

If you're using 4 or 6 lb mono and snagging brush you will get lotsa breaks no matter on what brand or knot tying methods. If the fish are breaking line you may need a more limber rod and or proper drag adjustment. I catch 3 and 4 lb wipers when vertical jigging for crappie with no line breaks using Stren 4 lb mono and a double loop knot with no spit.

Well, doggone. I had not heard of a double loop knot so went to the Internet. Nothing definitive as a separate knot known as a double loop. As one who uses a loop knot almost exclusively could you define or describe this knot a bit more? Thanks in advance.

I have been using Kast King copolymer line in 4#, it is some tuff stuff. Also very slick and you can throw with it a mile.

I just put some on two of my rods. Hope to try it out this weekend.

Yeah, normally "double loop knot" is used to describe using TWO separate loop knots (for a double jig rig)
