I had a Ego 2, great net but heavy for a one man by himself. I bought me a Jenko telescoping Big T. I love it and will buy another one if I loose this one.

Drove 2 hours to fish a lake yesterday, and when I got there my Jenko telescoping crappie net had left the boat somewhere between N GA and Lake Oconee.
I need another crappie net, one good for long-line pulling jigs, and general slab capture, especially using 2 lb test and a JDM rod that boat-flipping with isn't a good idea.
I had a great morning fishing, but had to lip all the fish I caught.
What net do you experienced crappie anglers like?
Papa Joe needs a brand new bag. I mean net.

I bought a short handle net off amazon and it floats! I love it. So much better then the livewell net I was using.
I have jenko telescope on my 4th season and my 2 net(rubber) and 2nd handle. Jenko stood behind their product on the handle. i thought about a G2 slide but price weight and legth steers me away. I feel those are more designed for bass fishers who catch fewer but bigger fish

I took the cap off the handle and stuffed it with pool noodle material and it floats.

I have the big Ego for bass, catfish, bigger, and the net I lost was a Jenko Big T. Not sure I want another, as mine had issues with head unscrewing and rotating (had to locktite it), and the first section sometimes would not lock and would spin. I emailed Jenko twice about it, but no reply. I'll never buy another Jenko product.

I went ahead and ordered an Ego Reach with the rubber net. Cost $50 free shipping.
I have a telescoping boat pole I didn't think about until now; I bet I could unscrew the hook/head from it and stick a net head on there, if I could find one that matches the thread.

Update: I checked the thread on my Ego bass net (S1 Genesis) handle, and they both look like the same basic "mop" thread. (I bet its the same thread as mop and painter's poles). So I changed my order to just a medium size (17" x 19") replacement hoop frame assy and a rubber bag to go with it. I can screw that on my boat pole and go to work, one less big pole in the way on my deck. Plus, my boat pole floats. The Ego Reach does not, and I saved $20!

I really like my Jenko Big T net. I hate to hear that you had issues with yours, anytime I have reached out to them they have been really quick to respond.
I used the contact form on the website. Crickets. That's when I "made do" with the net, put locktite on the threads etc. It was usable, until I lost it. Oh well. Don't really want another.
