Southern Crappie Rods because they are tough as nails and Ed Duke is the best guy in the industry to deal with.

Southern Crappie. Price can’t be beat and toughest rod out there bar none.

Southerns in the T series if you plan on pulling cranks or loading them up with more than a 1 ounce weight ever. By far the toughest rods I ever used, I've had my regular 14's (non t's) bent so bad before I couldn't figure how they didn't break. Had an extra tip for them for years and still can't figure when I will ever use it. The standards (non t) series get whippy in the wind when rigging is my only complaint. Go with the heavier rods and be done with it, you won't be sorry!

thanks everyone. I was leaning towards the southern's, but I am a little concerned about weight.
THe 143 series are 9 ounces compared to the crappie stix 7.1. No clue how noticeable 1.8 ounces would be
