If you could have kept a limit would you ?
I often get on them in fair fashion and could keep a limit .
But as I age I don't enjoy keeping as many as I once did .
I don't like to clean them near as much and or deal with a bunch of freezing and the work that goes into keeping them .
Plus as I age a heavy stringer aint fun to walk with as I bank it frequently .
I also find this is the case with deer and other harvests too .
5 fat 12 inch fish will feed my wife and myself twice and that's about good for me most of the time .
So is it just me or is it you as well ?
    inquiring minds thing

I got that way quite a while back. I keep just enough for a couple meals for wife and I. Care less about all the cleaning, packaging and such to freeze. If biting I’ll catch and release 90 % of what I catch.

I keep maybe 10% of what I catch, but will put up some for winter, I filet or scale and put under water for a day or to and then we eat. I am retired and fish a lot, so I usually have plenty of fish. I am stocking up for hard winter now and will put a packs of fish in the freezer, we love fish.

I keep enough to eat. I have not kept a limit since being in Tennessee. If I am going to do a fish fry I usually catch catfish

I catch a lot of crappie. I don't think I've kept any for a couple of years now. Very rare anymore for me to keep fish...I just choose not to do it.

    Regards
