If You could have would you ?

I am limited to when i can get out and if I can get a limit I go for it. I would rather clean a limit and portion them out than clean just a few every time.

I live in Michigan. Too many good fish to go after to worry about a limit of Crappie. When I am hungry for them, I fish for them but have zero reason to freeze them.

On my home lake I only keep very few, maybe 20 in the past 3 years. Lake further down the road is where I catch all my keepers. I do throw back a good many of them though. I always have at least 10qt. Bags in the freezer for fish fries and such.
Usually only keep winter time crappie also unless the is a fish fry coming up. But the winter crappie is only for me and family.

If I want a meal or two that's all I keep. Mostly fish for fun and release. If I want to have a fry/party. I will go specifically to keep a limit.

Sometimes I do, sometimes I dont. Depends on mood, fishery, mood, how my freezer looks etc.

I dont catch many at a time. Usually 1!! Haha. But if I did, I would keep a limit once and restock occasionally.

I keep and clean what I catch. I have several elderly people in the area that it brings pure joy to them when I bring them fish, the same goes for a few family members that don't fish. I try to keep about 10 meals in the freezer otherwise I share others.

i keep a ton in the livewell, do a photo shot on the kayak and release all of them. i rarely eat them unless i got a request from my parents :P
