    Default California fires

The fires are raging yet again. Our prayers need to go out to those folks who値l lose everything in a matter of minutes. Some of our members are possibly in the path and I知 concerned about their welfare. Roll call folks, please let us know that you池e OK. Whether we know them or not, I知 hoping God is by their side through all this.

When I was a lot younger, and traveled down south of St Louis area, the wooded areas had "FIRE LANES" cut and kept mowed to allow a fire blockage. It worked then, don't know if DNR still does that, but t would seem only right if the great state of california would try elimating their brush to allow fire stops! Just saying

They do have a dilemma ... environmental activists are against cutting the trees (even the dead ones), and even if they did have "fire lanes" the Santa Anna winds can blow embers right over them.

Ironically by protecting nature and not allowing the removal of dead trees and brush nature takes over and removes said trees and brush. Hmmmm
