    Default Minnows and Nibbles

Anyone tip their minnows with nibbles. If so, what color.
Do you see any advantage in murky water vs clear.

I haven't added nibbles. I do make sure my minnows are aerated and in cool water so they are lively as can be.
When I used minnows a lot I would keep them in a stock tank at the house. That way I didnt buy any that were about half dead.

IMO tip the jig with a dead or alive minnow and be prepared for an aggressive thump!

I do not use minnows but I can't see why not, spraying with Slab Sauce is a good idea. I lay out some nibbles and spray with Slab Sauce and let dry some. This works well.

Have any of the nibble users seen the EYE hole jigs by Gill Reaper lures? They have an eye hole were you can push the nibble into and it stays on or in I should say. They work great and the don't fall off the hook.

I do, sometimes a nibble first, then a minnow and then a nibble on the hook point. Maybe it’s overkill but if a hungry gill gets the nibble off the point in my brain I rationalize the other is still attracting Crappie.
