Thanks guys. Got to be more careful.

I wonder though... would any of you fish a new water again if you caught no fish first time on it?
I'm even hesitant to fish lakes I've fished for years but where fishing really sucked the last few time I fished them. I tend to fish only lakes I do well on and avoid lakes that have declined - especially due to triploid carp. All those fish couldn't have just disappeared.

IMHO I try to fish lakes near me on the up cycle.
Don’t go to those on a downward trend.
I try to accomplish this by talking to as many friends as possible.

    Good advice.
Next year in spring is time to see if old is new, though fall fishing can be revealing when schools form and quantity and quality can be as good.
