The tournament was to be on Hickory Lake ONLY. He was observed (and recorded) leaving Hickory Lake and fishing in Barkley and then returning to Hickory.

    C'mon. We've all been there.
Yeah, sometimes when I make coffee for my girlfriend I screw up, and put antifreeze in it, but she always catches it before it's too late...we all make mistakes.

I believe anytime money is involved a person might do things he normally wouldnt. Possibly years ago he might have gotten in a bind and got away with it. Then some notoriety and more at stake and was driven to uphold an image. Don't know the fella, can't say what drove him to do it. Hope others that are tempted learn from it. But I believe it happens quite often and even more so on local levels.

Default Check this out. Tournament cheater caught.

I fished a statewide bass tournament years ago. It was a fairly high dollar tournament. The rule was everybody had to use the same type of lure. Plastic worm to be exact. Judges inspected each boat before launching. They found that a boat had the bottom cut out of a plastic fuel tank and slipped over top of a fully equipped tackle box. He also was banned from future events.

I would venture to say this is not his first time nor is he the only one cheating. The rules, the way that they are currently written, allowed him and others the one inch that it took to take advantage of the flaws. Launching from multiple ramps with no checks prior to launch leave the door wide open for this to happen. When money is on the line people will go to great length to collect it.
