I am sorry for your loss, though it has been many years since my dad past away, he is still in my heart. Your father will always be with you, especially with each cast, bite, each fish caught, and even with the ones that get away.
I know it hurts know, but that next big one you catch just smile and say "Thank you dad for all that you taught me and for helping land this fish".

Prayers and condolences to you, your family and your circle of friends. I have felt these feelings many times (as many have) and I (too) know there really are no words that properly address these times or the heaviness of the heart that losing a parent brings. Now, going forward, you will bask in the warmth that is and always will be his legacy. May God's Peace be with you and your family.

Thanks for the prayers everyone!! My heart has a hole now however I plan to continue on his legacy and teach my nephew all of dad's advise and share some of his fishing items with some low income high school fishing teams in the AL area. If anyone down there knows of some northern Alabama schools that have fishing team that some kids could use some gear feel free to PM me.
