You’ll do best going on YouTube and watching the techniques. Most talented painters keep their best techniques close to the vest.

M R Dux, I fully understand what your saying. It happens whether your doing hand ties, soft plastic's, crank baits or anything else for that matter. How ever that is not why I brought the subject up. I know their is some very talented Folks in our family here on crappie.com. I was looking more at techniques of how something is painted, the layering effects color effect and such, not to steal someone's stuff to sell, as I do things for myself...

Thanks. Watched a few today. Most putting in much more time and effort than I would. Most of my go to colors are either one solid or only a couple of colors.
Get your equipment then some white poster board. Try shooting different width lines by adjusting the paint flow and air. Once you feel comfortable, and only then, should you start blending colors and patterns. The worst mistake one can do is go to Harbor Freight and pay $20 for an airbrush and expect to be happy. Get and learn to use a double-action airbrush and you’ll be much happier.
