I know a man in TN that called all his friends ti go fish with him and they all turned him down, too cold. He went and boated over 25 big smallmouth before he put it on the trailer. There was also 3” of snow on the deck. Best day he ever had. As far as should you go, you hold those cards. The wind can be punishing. Myself, I would go til it wasn’t fun anymore and then go home. You never know what awaits. Good luck if you go.

They're calling for 10 tonight and I did so good last night that I am heading back out. My old personal rule was anything more than 8, I would stay home. The fish have made me change my rule.

When it starts getting over 15 mph, it becomes more work than play. And anything 25+ is just not safe enough for me.

Older I get, the closer to good/fair conditions it has to be. lol. I use to go in almost hurricanes. Wind blowing and rain going sideways. I would fish for an hour or two and clean and dry out the boat and tackle longer than I fished. Not any more.

Ok the verdict is no fishy fishy. The high winds direction will cause trouble at the ramp. Don't need that aggravation.
Thank you all for playing fish or dare.

Winds and waves tend to be relative to what you are used to.

Me living in Kansas wind is a frequent problem, when boating I find an area with a wind break, or I shore fish or find a dock.

Wise decision, there always another day.No fish is worth all that discomfort or lack of safety.
