You've given me ideas for when I tie border collie hair jigs. Thanks Eric!

Thanks spoonie, and Dave, just some i play with. I have done the gold before with maribou and bucktail. Mater of fact Dave I think you have a gold one from a jig swap...they work pretty well on overcast days or in the rain.

Hair jigs tied & ready to cast under a cloudy sky with wind around 10 mph. Now I can cast to areas I couldn't yesterday because of the wind that doesn't cooperate when casting light lures and causing line bow/ poor strike detection. (1/16 is max for me for my presentations.)

I really like those small spinner's with small plastic's. Got a couple really small one's to use on crappie and tried them one time. Caught a couple then just haven't used them since. .gonna have to get them out and set up one rod with it. Last time out I caught a fair number of crappie casting in open water and never gave a thought to putting on a small spinner.

I took some 1/32 and 1/16 oz jigs and tied a #12 crane swivel so they are underneath with a # 1 willow blade I use with a plastic sometimes. Usually when the bite drops off on the plain jigs. I have several safety pin type spinner for like for beatle spins also, new in the pack I haven't used yet I need to try...
