    Default Prineville Resivour

Well was worried about being able to launch the boat there and two hour's is a long drive to find out I can't do it. Got there and barely room at the dock. Had to push the boat out away from the dock to launch and loading wasn't any better. But, spent three hours fishing and got 27 crappie and one pathetic bass! Surprised me there were as many boats out there as there were! Where I put in there were only two trailer's in parking when I got there and only one left when I pulled out. I normally go to the farther launch because to much wind at the first one and I have trouble re-loading when I leave. I'm working on that! The fish were only running 8 to 10+ inch's but lot of fun to catch, mostly used my ultra light rod and small Ocuma reel 4# line. Sure a difference between the fat 10" fish and not so fat 8" fish when fileted. I'd heard the guy's still going out were getting 11 and 12" fish but I didn't see any of them. Saw a report from Huntington on Facebook and the fish have finely started there, guy's catching cooler's full! That's brownlee Res. Nothing said about size but they are normally bigger than here at Prineville. Was going to take the dogs out hunting today but way to much wind and looks like rain coming in. To bad. Sis was on a covey of Huns a few days ago, her first wild birds and handled them like a pro and looked like a million bucks, Sure like that pup!
