I have a 6' med action Daiwa Strikeforce rod With Daiwa RG low profile reel, only low profile reel I own. Problem with it is I don' cast 1/8th ox and lighter jig very well with it. I really like my casting reels but have a lot better time with the light spinning rods, I can cast light jigs with them. I can cast the casting rods pretty good with one of my cork floats on but just decided to leave them hme for crappie and use them on small mouth's and cats.

Go down the BFS road if you want to cast lighter lures.
