I did this recently and it didn’t end up very well. I tried to dismount the boat and hit the garage floor from about 5 feet up on my face. Somehow twisted in midair to miss the mirror on my wife’s Grand Cherokee and hit with a thud. Wife heard me hit and came a runnin. Once she realized I was not hurt she hollered and laughed and reminds me to this day of my clumsiness.

Definitely sounds painful. Never minded falling, but I don't like that sudden stop at the end

I didn't like how it made feel like I was sitting back too much. I turned the seat base around and put a 1/4" aluminum spacer bar in the back. It is about 6" long and 1" wide. I drilled two holes for the bolts. Seat sits flat now.

Best seat I’ve ever spent the day in. The angle doesn’t bother me so far but my boats layout is a bit different.
