I will look that up. The 10" fish I caught were a lot of fun on my ultra light. Hoping for bigger one's to come. Thiking next spring these fish will be even bigger!

All kind of ways to make a canoe a lot more fishable. I have a 14' Old Town Guide series that is stabke enough for me to stand up and paddle it.
The love for fishing is one of the best gifts you can pass along

2 hr drive one way. Sounds like a good time for a flat bottom boat and a camping/ fishing trip

When I aquired my kayak I made a two wheeled cart for less than $30.00. Two pnuematic dolly wheel assy.'s, (mine came from Harbor Freight), A length of 3/4" all thread (Lowe's), alomg with 4ea. flat washers and 4 ea. nylock nuts, a 10' length of pvc pipe and a left over Pool Noodle. Use a 3/4 inch ratchet strap to hold kayak to cart. It took a short time and my yak was extremely mobile...Same thing can be done for your canoe. Good luck and happy fishing...

when lakes are drawn down you have to use different tactics but hunting them up is fun and rewarding. fewer places to be and more concentrated and when you find them they usually are ready to EAT. Problem is with the fisherfolk. we get so used to doing one thing like fishing from a boat in certain spots you could miss out on a different experience that could be even better. Good luck in figuring this out!

When we bought our place up by T hill in MO fishing was entirely different than on lakes we were used to and took us a few years to adjust. but now that I went out on a mission and made friends with the local guru's who shared their knowledge and crappie beds we do very well now. parked the boat and fish off the bank all the time and during the winter is best and biggest crappie.
