    Default Wives on boats

Mine loves to fish with me. Work schedules limit how often she can go. She gets just as excited over a dink as she does a whale... that’s awesome to watch Wives on boatsName: IMG_3961.jpg

Another plus... Sure doesn't fart and pee all over the back of the boat like my buddies sometimes do!?Attachment 355567Attachment 355568Attachment 355569

My crew goes, Jr and momma, we always have to fish where she has service so she can YouTube videos. Jr spends about 3/4 of his time digging thru the boxes looking for something shiny the fish will jump out of the water to get to. But man I tell you what, when Jr is in fishing mode he's on front deck with me wanting to run the trolling motor like tv fisherman, and when w finally do catch something it makes it that much better. Lots of bare with me moments, but i wouldn't take nothing for it.

while we are on subject of the ladies fishing. I have a question ... What do they do when they need to pee ? Bucket ? One of those “ She Wee “ funnel things ? Or just hang over the side of the boat ?
I plan to take my new lady friend soon and thought I’d see what most do ?

As a guide, this is something I deal with almost weekly. I always try to know where the nearest porta-john or restroom is and offer that as an option. I have several ladies who take care of business in a coffee can I keep for all takers. One recently cleaned out their small cooler so she could go in it. Some will ask to go to the bank. To me, the secret is to give them options and let them decide.

I know it can be a pain to have to reel up and run to a restroom but I don't count that against their allotted fishing time. Making a lady feel less uncomfortable is the best way to deal with it. I'm always respectful and give them their privacy. That's the key to getting things taken care of and that often means better tips and repeat customers.

On the subject of wives fishing; my wife has a great job and is very involved in church and the community. Her fishing trips are not as many as I would like. That said; I'll put Vicki up against most men I have fished with when we are pulling cranks. She is great at it. When I ask if she can go, she always wants to know if we are going to be pulling cranks. I just have to make allowances for her lack of netting skills.

I carry a 5 gal bucket with a plastic commode seat that fits over it. Makes it nice and comfortable for her. If we're fishing close to someone, I move away from them and put myself between her and them. Another story is this: Several years ago we were going fishing at Enid Lake. She said she didn't need the "pee bucket". I said OK then. Well we were way, way in the back of Longbranch creek and she had to go! Duh! I had to pull up to a muddy bank and let her out. She waded out in ankle deep mud! Have any of you guys ever seen a woman pee standing up? If not, you're missing a heckuva site. I almost fell out of the boat!
If any of you guys down here repeat it in her presence, I'll deny it!

Yea she does love the crappie jerking too, but the stripers and large mouth sometimes get on the line!
