    The weight loss of two barbs on a small lure is negligible.

    To fine tune a jerkbait just a different size split ring can make a significant impact between slow float, slow sink and true suspended of such jerkbait, just water temp alone can create impact already. This might not matter much to diving type lure though. What can I say I’m a bass fisherman and all of them are crazy lol.

    I always say if one hook is good , three should be better ... right ?
    Seriously tho I prefer single hooks for crappie and bass most of the time.
    Inshore Reds and speckled trout get a treble under a popping cork if I’m forced to use live bait
