Hi All - spoke to the folks at Fishing Spec today and they were most helpful. I can’t speak to all of their Mounting systems but the mount that is used on the War Eagle brand of boat seems to be a great fit for my needs. The mount was made to attach to the integrated rail on the boat so it will not require to be fastened to the boat deck or gunnel. That will make it easy to put on and taken off and when not needed and stowed below deck in the storage box. Been searching around and haven’t found anything that might be a better fit for a War Eagle boat unless someone has another suggestion. Appreciate everyone’s comments. Thanks to all!

Remember, you have a transducer and cable attached to pole. It would be a pain to detach all this to stow pole.

It was quite a pain. I did that for several months before deciding to make it a permanent installation and just leave the pole and transducer on the boat at all times.

Here's a Ultrex mount. GEN1 version has a stainless steel steering handle, GEN2 has a flexible steering handle.
