Ummmm have to disagree ketchn the livescope I was watching. I could see the fish come up and take the bait as I felt the hit. Maybe different graphs process at different speeds. He has the latest 12” graph and the set up will change your game when you learn to use it properly. then again different lakes present themselves differently as to how you fish them.if you keep up with the tournament fishing you’ll find the top teams using it a lot.

It's getting to be more like video games to me. No I don't have one, but I go out to 1. See if I can catch fish, 2. Be out in the outside. Sounds to me like you all are turning into teenagers with their video games...just my.

I know not of high end electronics and use them rarely ,I do know the winners of many tournaments hunt down big fish with livescope and to be sure I think one could do that .
but I saw fish again yesterday and saw some approach the jig and never saw a take and even think I saw one swim off after a peck I felt but didn't see .
I suppose some units are bigger and better but I most likely will never get to play with them and am destined to just wait patiently for a bite as my adhd drives me bonkers watching fish swim around down there .
besides when there are this many marks and they are that size I cant just watch the screen , I have to get jiggy right now !

Can these not be cast onto the screen of a tablet. Just found out that the elite 5 ti that I have can be wirelessly linked to a tablet. I can take a 10 inch tablet and move about the boat freely and control the sonar. I had bought the five inch for kayak fishing, was wanting something larger for the boat. Being able link to a tablet has given me the bigger screen I was looking for

We have replaced our brains with phones and fishing instincts with electronics. Enjoy fishing with the methods of your choice and the price you can afford.

I agree completely. I personally enjoy the art of fishing. I consistently catch enough fish to eat and keep backup in the freezer. It is more important to me that I go fishing and relax while enjoying God's wonders instead of limiting out every trip.

This is why I wish I had bought the more expensive display unit instead of the 93v plus. The 93v plus unit does a decent job of displaying what is there but it just does not give you the resolution to definitely state you can see the fish take your jig. I am not sure but I suspect the more expensive units have more processing power. I want one and will probably buy one in the near future.

As to better equipment ruining the sport I have heard that every since the flashing light fish finder came out. And yes, I bought one of those and no, it did not diminish my use of my brain nor my fishing pleasure when I used it.

You will not see me spending $80,000-$100,000 for a bass boat nor spending several hundred dollars for a fishing rod nor a reel. I just don't see the need for that kind of expense so for me it would be a waste of my money. But you will also not see me disparaging someone else because they feel they need for the expensive rigs and the expensive rods and reels to enjoy their fishing.

I loved to fish when I fished from the bank using a cheap zebco rod and reel. I loved to fish when I bought my first boat. I loved to fish when I bought the flash unit finder. I loved to fish when I bought my HB 587 unit. I loved to fish when I bought my HB999 unit. And I still love to fish now that I have the HB Solix unit and my LiveScope. Buying this equipment has not diminished my use of my brain nor my fishing instincts. All this equipment has done is ensure there are fish where I am fishing, it does not make them bite.

As to catching limits every trip, that does not happen. Some days I may catch two or three limits, some days I am lucky to catch anything. But the number of crappie I catch doesn't matter as I only keep 4-5 fish once or twice a week. The number I catch on any given day doesn't matter to me as I have just as much fun on a day when I am skunked as on the days when I catch multiple limits.

Whether to buy one or not is a personal decision. It can save you time since you will not fish non-productive water but you will still need to use your fishing skills to get them to bite when you locate them.

Here's what i think a livescope would do for me. Perhaps I'm restating my original question.
I want to know if the fish are following my jigs and rejecting it. Or not interested at all.
If i need to change colors/size.
    If its time to leave.
I think it would save me a lot of time and i think it could make me a better fishermen.
    Hold it still?
    Add motion?
    Let it fall?

I have a livescope and I’m using the 1242xsv head unit. I love it!
