    Default The infamous White out

Yeppers a white out , sometimes it is what it is ……
I hit a spot I like and of course there was locals there and to be sure I was watching them ketch fish from the bleachers
I tried the 2 baits i was sure would get bit to no avail . The one guy was boxing fish pretty well and tossing a few back as well and the other guy was hanging in there to.
Then there was me just going what the heck yawl ? i want a bite too.
So after a bit the one guy says you know ……..there was a fella yesterday that was really hurting fish here with just a plain white jig …..i said that aint no surprise for sure and put one on myself after he prodded me a bit more with some numbers the guy whacked midday with it .
Then as it often happens my luck turned around and the gears started to turn in my reel as i hung fish after fish .
Now mind you i donated them to them guys and slung fish so well that even when the one said when and the bite was over ,he had to stand there and watch as the fish I continued to sling fish that got larger and his box got fuller .
So as always it could be the simple things you are missing ,in this case just a plain white jig was the ticket .
    Go figure
and to be sure KABOOM is the word

that particular spot produces what i consider to be the healthiest white crappie i see in these parts . The fish are quite often built similar to an east texas black crappie in that they are tall and real thick with nice girth on them even in the summer months when fish are often slimmer on other lakes around here .

Good deal, white is a great color with a pink head. I use nibbles sprayed with Slab Sauce for the ultimate scent! -- to me anyhow!
