    Default Too much structure

Is it possible to have too much structure around your pier..
Most of mine is in 6-8' of water consisting of small sunken willow and cypress tree laid horizontal to the bottom. Also, some pvc spiders a little shallower.

To me, that sounds like a good start ! Others may disagree, but unless it's a problem for swimming, or loosin lures, I'd think the more the better.

a large amount of cover is likely to hold more fish than a small amount of cover .
I know a dock that's much like what you have and every pitch anywhere near or under it gets bit .

Old saying" if you're not getting hung up your not catching fish" . fishing habitat" build it and they will come" .
