    Default Millennium seat questions

I'm thinking of using these seats (the folding ones), in place of cushioned seats, for the driver and passenger seats. Putting a 3/4 pin base on the bottom of the seats, and the matching base for the driver and passenger seats.
The cushioned seats in question, where mounted with a hinge (permanent), with storage underneath.
I was thinking of mounting the base on a hinged piece of metal, that way the storage underneath could still be utilized. And then, the seats could also be used on the bow or stern fishing spots. Make sense?
Does anyone see any problems with this? Would it be safe running down the lake? Tips, hints?
The boat in question is an '87 Skeeter Strada F120.
Also, I was contemplating one of the pummel horse style seats, for upfront. Anyone have experience with these?
Thanks in advance for the help.

The Millennium seats can be used any where the cushion type were used as far as I know. One thing I can say is they are way more comfortable than the cushion type seats I really like mine. You will be glad you got them and the back end will thank you also. Contact E-Zpoleholder on here and he can tell you a lot more about them and give you a good price on them also.

If you use the 3/4 pin it will protrude in to your storage area reducing the capacity. If you aren't going to move it to another location, it would be better to mount it direct to the hinged metal piece. Either way they are very comfortable and you don't sweat on them.

Scrat - thanks for the link. I might wind up calling him, Im really leaning towards these seats. I need to make my mind up on a color scheme for the boat, before ordering seats .
Deltarat - didn't think about cutting into storage space, dang it. Hhhhmmmm. Gonna have to do some measurements. Glad I asked!

I did what your talking about it blocks a lot of storage under and as much as I love the seat fishing from it I hated running down the lake. If your boat has a bumpy ride mine is an older aluminum boat it will beat you to death.

This style base may be useful for the storage areas

Mike1234 - Thank you for the information. I got the boat in an unusable condition, no clue how it rides. I was hoping to have a multi-use seat, thus saving some money. As for losing storage, I need to review my plan.
Do you have any pics of your set up?

Huntinslabs - thank you for the link. That's an option I wasn't aware of.

I switched a got a set of seats from bass seats. Com something else to consider when you use the seat with the pole it doesn’t seem like much but sitting a few inches higher driving the boat. You can see better but it felt a little wobbly to me

They work great. I use one myself to mount a seat on a cooler.

There are regs that govern how driver seats and passenger seats are required to be mounted when "underway". I'm not a nansy/pansy rules guy but some regs are good ideas just the same.
