Good stuff. Sharp looking baits. Love the black/chart color one.
that's right yawl , the ever elusive rain deer , we don't see them here in Texas in the late summer months .but sure enough there I was tracking me some rain deer !
now mind you my bud SK sent me a text and no fishin today young man and I sent one back that said something like wanna bet .
there was big swath of storms rolling thru and to be sure it was dicey , lots a light show and heavy rain and even a terribly high east wind at times . and the rain came and went over and over and I danced between the showers with them crappie the best I could .
but I was determined to use a new paddle tail bait someone sent me and determination has a way about it you know .
early in the rain the fish were around 6 foot deep in 14 fow ….when I came back a bit after it slowed up a few hours later they were around 10 foot deep in the same spot .
I found the bait I used early and the one after it in natural colors to have gone south later in the day and they liked the contrast of the black chart much better .hit the water 1 hour each visit and I thought my photo count was 60 in the 2 visits , but I was wrong and this morning when I loaded the photos I topped 70 total .
only white crappie and none much over 12 inches .
99.9 % of the bites were ridiculous light and the fish fought rather hard it seemed to me .
such was my Tuesday and onward I say
more crappie to ketch on the horizon
stay tuned and have a great day
KABOOM is the word
p.s. all fish were released
