    OK...another hint
    in 1916 they started manufacturing bait casting reels
    I have spent most my life fishing........the rest I wasted.

    OK....You guys that guessed Ernest F. Pflueger got it... He founded Enterprise Manufacturing Co. and manufactured fish hooks. Later on his son Earnest A. Pflueger took over the business and changed the name to E.A. Pflueger Co. which began manufacturing all types of fishing tackle and gear. The first Pflueger baitcast reel was manufactured in Akron, Ohio in 1916. In 1954 they came out with a spinning reel. Pflueger was well known for thier reels and still are today. Today the Pflueger brand is owned by Pure Fishing.
