Ketch, that's how they get around that rule that crappie ONLY FEED UP. Your welcome.
I haven't seen predator fish do this yet but I have seen larger shad do this under the light.

"Where am I going and why am I in this handbasket ?"
i have fished under lights since i was a kid. i have never seen fish swimming upside down around the light. they dart i or just swim through like normal around here.
When Fish are on its side it can make that 90 degree turn instantly to catch the Bait fish chosen. If the fish is swimming level it can see easily what is above and strike upward easily... Turn him upside down and it could be looking for a meal that is slightly outside the school that can be focused on for that meal
See crappie swimming on their sides quite often on our lights.
