Default Need help deciding on a Humminbird unit.

Im looking to purchase a Helix 7 si g2n mega for the console. I currently have a 9 mega G2N at the bow. I have an opportunity to buy a preowned 9 mega si g2n for about the same price as the new 7 si. I want to use the si for locating fish/cover/structure. So, would you purchase the new 7 or the used 9? Im leaning towards the new 7 mega, just not sure if the screen size will suit me. TIA

Go with the new and get as much warranty as possible.

How old is the used unit? Are you buying it from an individual or from a dealer? If buy I buy used I expect a substantial discount.

I'd say buy the biggest you can afford, you won't regret it......
As far as the used I'd see if you can purchase factory warranty.....

I have Humminbirds from 6 months to 4 years old, but I couldn't tell you at what age a unit should be avoided. The used 9" unit keeps track of how many hrs it has been used. That may be a better indicator of its life than just knowing it is a yr old.

If you are over 40 buy the bigger one. If younger then buy the little one with warranty.

HB warranty is valid only to the owner of the original purchase receipt ...

    Warranty cannot be transferred ...
