i met some folks on a charter boat off the florida coast that struck up a conversation with me because i was wearing a crappie.com ball cap and the wife seemed to be quite well versed in Kentucky lake and the Asian carp issue and the problems at hand concerning the issue .
i told her invasive species spell trouble almost every time i have seen them introduced into an eco system they don't belong in for sure .
hopefully they come up with a solution to this issue soon , at some point they will take over all the warm waters if we don't is my thoughts on the subject .

I have always wondered why they were ever allowed in this country to begin with. Why were catfish farmers in Arkansas raising them? How were they being marketed? Have those farmers ever been held responsible, or does the responsibility lie further up the "food chain" ? I am not trying to raise hackles, but these are valid questions, IMHO.

Believe me, you could tell the difference. I've eaten Asian Carp, and it in no way resembles the taste or texture of Catfish.
