    Good info in this thread, y'all have any tips for keeping carpenter bees from crapping all over my boat under my barn!?

    Thinking of coating the wood with copper napthanate (sp). Coal tar epoxy doesn't work, neither does paint, also the woodpeckers like to go eat the larva and make more damage...

    You can make carpenter bee traps easily and hang them. I've used them in my greenhouse. Look on youtube or online for instructions as there are many ways.

    The spays will kill them, but other daubers replace them. I need something to deter them.
