OK....Those of you that answered Moonlight Bait Company are correct. But listen to this...many other famous bait companys involved later on.
Heres the story... In 1908 Horace Ball and Charles Varney started Moonlight Bait Company. Horace worked for the county and was the courthouse janitor....many of their first baits were made in the basement of the courthouse. In 1924 Clyde Sinclair and Floyd Phelps purchased the Moonlight Bait Company and changed the name to.....PawPaw Bait Co. of PawPaw, Michigan. Now then....in the early 70's They sold Paw Paw Bait Company to Shakespeare Tackle Company of Kalamazoo, Michigan. Then a few years later Shakespeare sold too,,,,Creek Chub Bait Co. of Garrett, Indiana. And today Creek Chub is owned by Pradco.
