    Default Skipping School

Sometimes you just have to play hookee ,when the fish at one spot just wont cooperate and keep schooling ya maybe its that time .
We go once a week most of the time to visit one lake after work . Its Sk's and my one time a week get together to set the hook .
So as much as I wanted to go visit one spot I knew at the same time another spot that we would likely do the schooling instead of getting schooled .
So we skipped school and hit location 2 for a change of pace and because its far enough from town that we only get to do it in the summer once or twice.
The fish did in fact get a pretty good schooling ,but were not quite as good as I found them a few days before this adventure .
I don't think we hit 100 crappie probably around 75 or so maybe a tad higher but I wasn't really counting and only rely on how many fish pictures I got . I had 37 and didn't take photos of real small fish . Sk was right along with me on hook sets ,so I imagine we landed around 75 fish or maybe a slightly higher number.
Fish were all over the map at the 3 spots we hit . 8 foot down in 15 fow spot 1 , 12 foot down in 14 fow spot 2 and get THIS >>>4 foot down in numbers on spot 3 in 16 fow .
We loaded up a little boys bucket with slabs at spot 3 and gave him some handties and watched some other young ones putting crappie on the deck as well . One young man about 12 or so was sitting indian style on the deck with a tiny rod and a minnow and watching his rod harder than any hawk ever watched a mouse in the grass I tell ya .
Was most certainly good times and memorable and went real smooth best I can tell ya .
I even trained one middle aged guy how to ketch a crappie on a minnow as he never knew he was getting bit and his minnow kept coming up deader and deader and shredded to beat the band every drop
anyway here are some photos of said event and no we didn't do any video
hope you enjoy the read and photos and we ONLY used jigs
and yes we changed hats a few times and yes they ate the eyes right off one of my jigs

I am glad you enjoy the reads and photos and hopefully you gather a few item from my posts to help you ketch more fish on your next adventure .
one thing for certain in this world some folks lose their sense of humor and take things way to serious and that in turn takes a lot of the fun right out of it .
if you do it with a smile its likely pretty much a good day
