    Default Crappie magnet jig head.

Have anyone tried this type of jig head for crappies? I知 talking about jig head with the head cut shape (the same as trout magnet but with 1/16 or 1/32oz). I知 thinking about try this for cast and slow reel retrieve. The cut on the head might help slow down sinking rate thus I can reel at slower speed without using too light of jig head.

Yes I used it for several years. I used it for the method you described. While I caught a lot of crappie with it, the plated ones....meaning gold and or nickel in color....have dull hooks as the whole jig head including hook is plated. They still have plenty of the other colors and they are fine.

They are called shad darts. Use to use them in a river.

The 1/32 have a #6 hook. As to the weight they are slightly heavier than 1/32. You will find most micro jig heads sold in the USA to be slightly heavier than what the stated weight says.

Thanks, I just want to confirm. I have 1/32 jig head from the same company that come in Crappie Magnet kit and indeed it is 1.2grams ~ 1/24oz. But this one is different molds so it might be different.
