You will probably be the only boat crappie fishing. Not many people fish for crappie “spider rig” there his time of the year.

Interesting trip. We fished deep, shallow, in between, open water, stick ups, submerged timber, stumps, knees, grass, back in the standing timber..... No crappie.
We threw jigs, spinners, flys, plastics, hard and soft, live minnows, and crickets........No crappie
We fished sun, shade, deep cover, rain, wind and windless, from early to after dark.........No crappie

We filled the coolers with 1 1/2 lb to 4 lb catfish, we had beautiful views, a mostly calm lake with almost no one on the water..... but no crappie.
All in all it was a worthy trip, after all a bad day fishing is better than any day without fishing!
    No crappie here...
