I wondered why everyone called it "Texaco" brother , thanks for the information on its history , sure is a dandy jig in slightly muddy water
they take it with meaning quite often and deep as well . I put in a request for a few more to have on hand yesterday .

I think the handties were all 1/16 and the multi color i used with the plastics as well , but the hook sizes varied a bit . I don't know as I get them just to test them and pay little attention to what anything on any package says . its all about how it feels and looks to me and is it going to do what I want it to do to get bit .
I rarely use anything heavier than 1/16 . sometimes I think 1/16 is way to heavy as a dip of the rod tip can even feel like a light take when the jig quickly settles . and for sure hook sizes matter , a big hook makes a jig heavier than a small hook with the same weight lead ….food for thought
also a large body plastic will perform well with a 1/16 head and larger hook than a handtie with the same 1/16 head and large hook
there is a method to my madness although it remains clinically undiagnosed my friend ….
