    Default UNDERWATER LIGHTS,


    how far under the water should one hang the lights? MY FIRST SET WAS USING 18 GAUGE WIRE. FOUND IT WAS TOO

    WEAK. WHAT GAUGE SHOULD BE USED?

    mine is usually about 4ft down. there are times it was 15ft down though. depends on where the bait/fish are holding in your lake. cant help you with wire. I have seen guys make them from extension cords.

    If you want to make your own I would add a stress relief connector

    14 gauge should be fine to use or like river scum said just use a electric cord

    From what I've seen in videos on folks making them, the wire should be around 14-16 gauge...

    Here's mine, I can get 2 nights or more from a 4wheeler battery.

    Greenline you stay long enough for the bait fish come in. After the bait fish come in should be catching fish within 30 minutes. Do not leave a place and try to come back you would have to start back over. If good quantity of bait not present you won't catch but very few crappie.
