    Lightbulb 101 Redneck Ideas, Contest...

Show off your redneck ingenuity. Post your handiwork here. We need 100 more ideas. Here, I'll post the first.

I like dunking my jigs completely into the Slabsauce. On my Tracker I used a thin board with a hole cut into it, clamped on the gunnel and hung off the side of the boat. But on my glass Key West I had nothing to clamp it too. So I thought about it a bit, and this is what I came up with. Works out great for me, and I can even remove it easy enough and hang it up neatly away when I'm done:

Needed a mounting bracket for a hand control motor on my Wareagle. Wouldn’t pay what they wanted for factory to mount into T rail. Found this galvanized trailer roller bracket on clearance at academy for .98 cents. Cut a piece of 2x6 and used carriage bolts to mount it to bracket. Installed 2 carriage bolts in T rail then installed bracket. Perfect fit and adjustable up and down T rail and go anywhere on boat.

Don't have any picture's but made marker buoys from 1/2 gal plastic milk jugs. I fill them with spray foam. Just did four new ones yesterday used almost one can of foam. Tie 1/4" nylon rope on the handle and small tomato pates can for weight.

Well, when my rods were in transport rack motoring down the highway the sinker would bounce around and oftentimes break my line. I was standing in the garage one day pondering how to keep the sinker tight to the rod and our youngest, who is a hair stylist said, hang on I have an idea. She gave me these small hair clips that work perfectly. Not an earth-shattering concept but it's cheap, effective and readily available.
