This is not my idea but a good one to save your fishing rod while transporting it. Slit a dollar pool noodle and slip it over your rod.

This is my over the shoulder quiver I use when fishing from the shore. Not only does it protect my weapons for fishing from breakage but it leaves my hands free for tackle boxes etc. Materials, electrical conduit pipe, 1.25" caps for the PVC ,and J.B. Weld liquid steel, carrying strap. Weld tubes together and weld on carrying strap holders.

    Default Tail lights.

When I was younger, I used everything on the cheap. I fished saltwater so you know how fast I was replacing tail lights. Time to think I had, money I did not. My brother and I shared a 14’ metal boat that was pretty wide. We liked the idea of lights on the guide posts, but we didn’t have those either. I found this piece of aluminum headed for the dumpster on a job site I was working and the light came on immediately. The strap to hold the boat on the trailer goes in the side with the rolled edge, and it was cut to fit exactly from side to side. Never moved once strapped and I never replaced a light since, on a small boat. Wrapped up and thrown in the truck when done launching. What you see in the pics has been with me over 25 years, except when I robbed the lights for a utility trailer. Now I use a set of vise grips or zip ties to hold em down until I get where I’m going. The license plate attaches too. Hope this helps someone.

Sorry no pics right now. I fish at night but not in the dark. I took a clamp on work light , the 8” alum ones and went to the auto store and got a 12 volt bulb,50 watt. Bought a cheap 8 ft ext cord and cut the male end off I then attached batt post clamps. Clamped on the side of the boat it lights up the area pretty well. I can see my 5 or 6 floats very well, have used it for camping as well

Good idea. An led would draw lots less power if that became an issue.

Awesome quiver. Would come in handy on those long causeway hikes to get from the truck to the fishing

I fish all night when I get to go and off 1 deep cycle batt I run a floating fish light a submersible green light and the 50 watt light. It last all night with no noticeable dimming. I do recharge as soon as I get home or rather when I get up the next day.

Thank you my friend. You could also just drill 1/4 inch holes at the top and use a small nut, washer and bolt to put the tubes together if you did not want to use J. B. Weld. I did another one for a friend using the bolts and it was faster to make and stronger.
