I wanted Rod Transport Racks that would allow the rods to sit outside the passenger area but was not willing to drill holes my boat or pay the price for the ones on the market. I found a couple of Foam/Velcro rod holders designed to mount on a wall and bolted them to some scrap aluminum then bolted them under my dock cleats. They work great for 12' rods but are spaced a little too far apart for my 10' Cypress Creek (they will ride but has more bounce than I like).

These slip floats were made from pool noodles. They are 2.5 inches long and 3/4 inch wide. They easily support up to and including 1/8th jig head lures and are highly visible. I got the pool noodles on sale at Dollar Tree.

We will see what this looks like after the hurricane, and if it's still standing, he will win one a BnM rod. Dono which one, I'll converse with Skeet afterwords to see which he might need. His idea has to make it through the hurry cane first. And I know, the tarp is not tight everywhere, and maybe it's just a cheap tarp. But it is what it is, a Skeetbum ridgepole boat tent test!

Thanks Boss. I think that your version will do just fine. Mine has already survived more that it’s share, and some snow too. We’ll talk about the rod when we christen Another Woman, still a ways out. Looking forward to it.

Slab I sure would like to have a red neck ideas sub-forum(or stickie) on here. One to look at and add red neck ideas in the future. I know they would be a lot more red neck ideas to be added. So far a lot of good ideas have been showed already. Don't know how much trouble it would be to do just another red neck idea.
