    This is not my idea but a good one to save your fishing rod while transporting it. Slit a dollar pool noodle and slip it over your rod.

    This is my over the shoulder quiver I use when fishing from the shore. Not only does it protect my weapons for fishing from breakage but it leaves my hands free for tackle boxes etc. Materials, electrical conduit pipe, 1.25" caps for the PVC ,and J.B. Weld liquid steel, carrying strap. Weld tubes together and weld on carrying strap holders.
