I love Maine, in the summer anyway .. All the wife's family is from there and we usually try and make a trip up at least every other year. Hoping to take one later this month, just depends on how much work gets in the way. Great pics!!

Good to see you and Laura are enjoying retirement! Love Maine, first time there was before I could drive, went to Boothbay Harbor on a Cod fishing Charter with my Grandfather and Uncle.

After I got married took my wife there a couple more times, hard to beat the beauty of the Fall Foliage. Used to eat at the lobster Co-ops and have Fresh Lobster, corn on the cob and Salt taters! Yum! Yum!

Yeah, those smallmouths fight a lot harder than a largemouth, don't they?
What time is it? IT'S CRAPPIE TIME!

Congrats on taking the retirement trip to Maine. Maine is no doubt a beautiful state that is rich with wildlife and some awesome inland and coastal fisheries too.
Thanks for sharing your trip and the pics with the rest of us.

Great post and pics. Looked awesome. How many people for those lobsters. One of my biggest bucket list items to do is to eat lobster in Maine. Where were you when you ate them? I've been fortunate to catch small mouth here on Pickwick Lake in Tn.

Thanks, they're were 6 of us gathered togethet. We started off with 5 lbs of clams, steamed, I tried not to eat to many, leave plenty of room for lobster, clams were so good dipped in butter, those were mostly 2 lb lobster, with a few smaller ones just in case. They insisted I eat 2, man was I full, not much for sides, just salad and rolls. We were in the small town of Bethel. Seafood was pre ordered and delivered to a nearby town were they come and setup every Thursday. Quite the experience, hope you get the opportunity. I want forget it, hope to go back soon.
