Anybody ever try putting Slab Sauce on CB's with success?

some people glue a small chunk of sponge or rag under the lip, to hold scent. I use paste(smashed nibbles) under the bill of my trolled cranks.

when is there going to be a slab sauce paste boss?

I think “G” puts it all the time on crankbaits.

Yep works good...stays on a long time too. Works better on the Picos due to the golf ball dimples on the body.
I have spent most my life fishing........the rest I wasted.

Here's the thing, Slabsauce used to be a paste. You may not remember the project. We even had an even thicker "batter" version, we called it "Bait Batter". It all just falls off. The oil is the sticky stuff. Spray it on your crankbait, and troll it through the water, and 15-20 minutes later, take it out, and you can still feel the slimy oil on the body of the bait. The oil sticks good, and on the dimpled PICO crank baits, "G" is right, it stays on even better.

    Slabsauce rocks.

My question on this is, at 1.4 to 1.8mph do the fish really get a whiff of it before it goes by?

You'll never know unless you try! lol

My personal opinion is yes. If you've seen videos of crappie, or even other species of fish, they'll actually chase a bait for a while and not hit it. So even if there's only a tiny bit of scent they get a whiff of, I believe it'd help entice the bite. Heck, I've seen Salmon do complete circles around my bait on lake michigan while trolling at over 2.5 mph. That surprised the heck outa me. And yes, I know of at least one Salmon Fishing Charter Boat Captain on Lake Michigan that loves the Slabsauce, just sayin'.

Slab Sauce does help with cranking, It might be me, but the ones I spray seem to outdo the others. I have tested this out a couple of times.

I can smell a fresh doughnut driving by a Krispy Kreme at 60mph, surely a crappie can smell at less than 2mph. Seriously though, I would think they could but would like to hear others opinions.

Now see, that's the kind of explanation that I can understand. You win!
