    Your setup sounds good. You will obviously have to play with the amount of line behind the board to find the right depth. I assume these boards can be removed while fighting the fish? If not, the amount of line past your barrel swivel won't allow you to net a fish without hand lining it in.

    removable, like bobber clips but heavier . with long rod should be able to net fish, i hope . thanks be safe and productive!

    Those appear to be another knock-off of a board originally called Crappie Shark that were made around Chickamauga Lake. I’ve used the originals and they work great for shallow to medium depth in areas of calm water. I always used 6-8 pound line with curly tail grubs on 1/8 oz round or roadrunner heads. They worked best at 0.6-1.0mph. Taking the board off when reeling in fish takes some finesse.
