aint it unusual , a bud out of Oklahoma pours it . he used a salt water plastic formula and even though I thought for sure they would be torn to pieces like lil mieces , not a single tail got pulled off ?
its got some serious tail flap going on for sure and looks splendid when its in the water .
    the body is solid .
Justin Robinson aka justins jigs on facebook is the fella
he recently poured me a custom color combo that I will show off when I have time
this particular one is ridiculous good beyond what I thought it would be when I first tried it
so good in fact I have seen more than one occasion where it managed fish in the exact same spot and time
when about a million other baits where dropped there at that time
its a different style body design than the ribbon tail though

Thanks for the time you took to post your outing with photos and observations. A picture speaks a thousand words that can't be denied.
yes sir the one thing I have found to be true over and over is putting it where the fish are and making it look like food is likely to get it bit no matter if it looks natural color wise .

I think the recent high pressure barometer and north wind has them about shut down.
Last Wednesday I caught well over 100 fish. ( kept 0) . I had a south wind and it was cloudy.
I took my son to the same waters 3 days later and bright sky and north wind the bite was nearly dead.
Even the gnats and skeeters weren’t biting.

That's the only thing where we differ. In my experience fish strike mostly lures that don't resemble or move like anything in nature - being a lure crafter and tester has taught me that. But there still are lure designs that are, for whatever reason, superior to those that are similar but that still catch far more fish in the same area as others. That happened last week.

The only thing I can say about the lures you used was their flutter or quiver by design coupled with the slow presentation you used to provoke those fish. The bright colors obviously didn't faze them.
